Lucy Connolly
Co-Chair and Treasurer
Lucy brings extensive financial and governance expertise to the Board, with a strong international background. She holds a BBus in Accounting and Finance and trained as an accountant with KPMG. Lucy has served as CFO of a FTSE 250 international group and has since held a number of non-executive directorships. She contributes significant experience in financial oversight, risk management and strategic governance, and is actively involved in international monitoring visits, providing valuable insight into programme delivery and accountability. -
Marcel Chad
Co-Chair
Marcel brings extensive expertise in risk and insurance to the Board, with a prominent career in the global aviation sector. He is currently Chairman of Price Forbes Aviation and previously served as CEO and Deputy Chairman of the Global Aviation Division at Marsh. His experience in strategic leadership, complex risk management and international markets provides valuable insight and strong governance support to Project Harar’s work. -
Josephine Crown
Trustee
Josephine is an experienced property professional who brings strong expertise in financial oversight, asset management, and governance to the Board. Offering valuable commercial insight and leadership, she is a long-standing supporter of Project Harar having been closely connected to the organisation since its early years. Josephine rejoined the Board in 2022, offering the charity continuity and her deep commitment to the charity’s mission. -
Mr Gary Walton BDS MDS MSc MBChB FDSRCS FRCS FRCS(OMFS)
Trustee
Gary is a Consultant Head & Neck and Reconstructive Surgeon at University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust, bringing extensive clinical expertise and leadership to the Board. Gary has a distinguished career in Maxillofacial surgery. He serves as Project Harar’s Volunteer International Complex Surgical Lead, contributing specialist knowledge in surgical delivery, patient care and clinical governance, and supporting high-quality treatment and capacity building within international programmes. -
Denise Farley
Trustee
Denise brings extensive experience in hospitality, interior design and event management to the Board, with a career spanning both international and domestic settings. As an entrepreneur, she offers strong expertise in design, delivery and operational management of events, and has successfully designed and delivered events in support of Project Harar. Denise is driven by a strong belief that healthcare should be accessible to all.
