  • Lady Anwen Hurt

    Lady Anwen Hurt is a Producer, casting director, pro chancellor of NUA and artistic director of the Holt Festival. Anwen has been a fantastic support as the charity has grown over the years, bringing her enthusiasm, creative expertise and sensitivity to our awareness raising. She has been involved with Project Harar since 2006 and agreed to become our Patron in 2017 after her late husband, Sir John Hurt, who was the first Patron of Project Harar sadly passed away.

  • Lemn Sissay OBE

    Lemn Sissay OBE is a BAFTA nominated award winning writer, international poet, performer playwright, artist and broadcaster. He has read on stage throughout the world: from The Library of Congress in The United States to The University of Addis Ababa, from Singapore to Sri Lanka, Bangalore to Dubai, from Bali to Greenland and Wigan library.

    Simon is CEO of tech services business, DSP Explorer. Simon's role as a Patron extends beyond his generous support. He aims to raise the charity's profile, boost fundraising efforts, and explore the potential of utilising data science to achieve even more impactful outcomes. With his expertise and commitment, Simon is poised to make a significant difference in furthering our cause and transforming the lives of those we serve.
