Beruk’s Story
Beruk is fifteen months old and arrived at our Selam programme this June with both for his parents in order to receive treatment for his cleft lip.
When Beruk’s parents arrived at the programme, his mother told us;
‘I felt a sense of hope and I was encouraged by the success stories of previous patients who had received treatment.’ She expressed her gratitude that she was able to receive free treatment for Beruk and told us that the surgery would not only change her son’s life but bring joy to her whole family.’
“I want to use my experience to help others burdened by this condition. I will serve Project Harar by sharing information about this service and help others who are hiding at home. Overall I am so grateful to Project Harar and want to thank them for all the work they do. I couldn’t believe that this treatment was free. I have no words to describe how happy I am.”
