Whether you are hosting a pub quiz or holding a coffee morning, there are many different ways that you can get involved and support Project Harar. Let us know if you'd like to receive our fundraising pack with more information on how to make a real success of your event.

Here are a few fundraising ideas to get you started:

  • Pub quiz – host a local pub, get people to sign up in teams and charge each person a participation fee.
  • Raffle/Bingo - get friends and family to donate prizes or ask local shops for prizes. Then host a raffle event.
  • A fundraising day in the workplace with sweepstake/raffle/cake sale/lunch time games.
  • Comedy night/ Karaoke night - does this sound like you? Put on a night that you and your friends won't forget and raise money for us in the process!
  • Coffee morning - gather your friends together for a chat, cake and coffee while raising money at the same time. Ask people to make a donation.
  • Dinner party - for the culinary savvy this is a perfect way to impress your friends!
  • Wine and cheese night
  • Bag packing - on average each person makes £50 per day, so get 3 friends along to help out on the day. Make sure you get in there quick and secure a spot - bag packing is very popular!
  • Cake sales/festive bakes - check out the Krispy Kreme website for their fundraising deals. Or even better, if it’s in a work place get everyone to bring a cake along each as a bit of a competition.
  • Personal challenge - challenge yourself to do something! It could be a run or cycle, Live Below the Line (living off £1 a day) or a sponsored silence.
  • Have a clear out - do you have any old clothes or other items lying around your house? Have a clear out via ebay/Gumtree, a car boot sale or host a swap shop.

We are here to support you with tips, materials, setting up your fundraising page and organising a successful event. If you have any questions or need support, don’t hesitate to get in touch
