Mushra Mushra before and after his surgery for his cleft lip We met Nuru and Mushra on a cleft mission in February of 2020 in Addis Ababa. Nuru took his nephew Mushra to Addis Ababa to receive treatment for his cleft lip and palate. They were from a very remote area of Oromia and had to travel for a night to get to another village in order to get on the Project Harar vehicle to travel to Addis. Mushra’s uncle was worried that he would not be able to access treatment and that his complications with eating and speaking would continue, he said he was looking everywhere for help in his village until a health worker told him about Project Harar. Mushra’s surgery was very successful and Nuru told us that when he was healthy enough he would return Mushra to school. Manage Cookie Preferences
