Halema, a young farmer from the remote village of Harawacha, lived for many years with a substantial ameloblastoma, a dental growth usually detected and treated early by a dentist.
It was painful for Halema and she had difficulties eating and speaking. Our surgeons removed the growth and used parts of Halema’s rib to reconstruct her jaw.
Halema recovered speedily and returned to her home. With the growth now removed, Halema told us she is looking forward to finding a husband!
