Our Ethiopian outreach officer Biniyam, recently accompanied one of our patients AliyeJemal, 8, through his daunting surgery.
It was Biniyam’s first time in the operating theatre, and he was keen to finally witness an operation which he works so hard day-to-day to make happen. In his role as an outreach officer, Biniyam spends a lot of time travelling to rural areas, seeking out patients who are in desperate need of surgery and ensuring they reach the quality treatment they need.
